{"id":2087,"date":"2011-02-04T07:39:25","date_gmt":"2011-02-04T12:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dangeroustalk.net\/?p=2087"},"modified":"2011-02-04T07:39:25","modified_gmt":"2011-02-04T12:39:25","slug":"harry-potter-is-imaginary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.dangeroustalk.net\/?p=2087","title":{"rendered":"Harry Potter is Imaginary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was debating with a Potter-Head yesterday and he kept insisting that the reason I don\u2019t believe that Harry Potter is real is because I am a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Muggle\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Muggle\">muggle<\/a>. He told me that he is hoping that someone in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ministry of Magic\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ministry_of_Magic\">Ministry of Magic<\/a> reveals the Truth to me about the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Harry Potter universe\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Harry_Potter_universe\">wizarding world<\/a> someday.<\/p>\n<p>I pointed out that the author of the popular book series said herself that the books are fiction. He just laughed and said that she didn\u2019t really right the books. He claimed that someone inside the Ministry of Magic wrote them, but that a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Death Eater\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Death_Eater\">Death Eater<\/a> released it to the muggle world. He went on to say that Harry Potter himself cast a spell on J.K. Rawling so that she would believe she wrote it as fiction.<\/p>\n<p>He had a rationalization for everything. If he didn\u2019t have an answer, he would fall back to claiming that it was magic or that a muggle couldn\u2019t understand what goes on in the wizarding world.<\/p>\n<p>It was ridiculous. Of course, it was no more ridiculous than conversations I have with Christians. In fact, the only real differences between the two are that at least the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Harry Potter\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Harry_Potter\">Harry Potter series<\/a> was well written and entertaining.
