Thanks for the tip. I think it is great to see them finally realizing that there is a massive need for what they do outside of Philly. They have their work cut out for them if they want to go national, as they really haven't done much to raise awareness. Posts like this should help.

Don't forget catastrophes like New Orleans hurricane, earthquakes, and tsunamis. There is more than one way to cleanse the world of sin.

I saw this in yahoo news the other day too. Seemed like a ridicules article since he was already an atheist. Then I read the comments... though things like space science are fairly popular among that crowd that normal argues politics and gets into serious liberal vs conservative debates.

Maybe they need to project that on them so that they can continue to deceive themselves into thinking that through Christ is the only way to happiness, otherwise they may have been lied to and they simply can't bring themselves to believe that. After all, we all know that Christ does not lie.

I once worked in a "workplace friendly" company which I won't name - it rhymed with "Fotorola" - and there was a very well publicized "christian prayer group" that booked a conf. room at lunch each week to caucus around an iron age text. These were engineers that worked daily on the evolution of technology by natural selection AND thought that bushes burned without being consumed and that being nailed to a piece of lumber would bring the end of the world. They literally prayed for the death of my children and grandchildren on a weekly basis. Didn't break my leg or pick my pocket - unless I need to use the conf. rm. to conduct actual business that paid for their 4 bedroom mini-mansions.

There were also several of my close friends who observed Ramadan. They most definitely did NOT advertise their personal beliefs except to people they trusted. Here's why.

My friend Riad worked for me - I had rescued him from a production job on the factory floor into a design job and he is still a close friend today. One morning he came to me with a shoe box. In the shoe box someone had taped a xerox copy of a handgun. An actual photocopy of a real hand gun made at work that week.

Needless to say these fine folks never dared book a conference room five times a day to get together and discuss their iron age text.

Religious Creeds suck. Falsify that.

Wonderful story. Unfortunately we are still thousands of years and several wars, maybe the one that ends humanity, being as our technological knowledge is light years more advanced than our societal intelligence, away from a majority of our population from accepting this common sense rationale. Keep trying though sir, it is our only hope for survival.

Forget about religion or relationship... just the fact that hundreds of thousands of lives have changed for the BETTER because of Christianity is enough to spark my interest. Seriously, please tell me valid benefits of being an atheist? Wait.. I'll answer that for you: Adaptability, healthy realism, skepticism, education, and freedom. But, I can get all of these and much more from Christianity.

Scott congratulations, you must have omitted the part about religious affiliation on the application, that helps.:-) As for the article, nothing new under the sun, good old fashion bait and hook, that's been their favorite tool for centuries now.
